Ce progr\u00e8s s&rsquo;inscrit dans le cadre des efforts des autorit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 renforcer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la d\u00e9pendance aux importations et \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les conditions de vie des agriculteurs locaux.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre 2021 et 2023, la production vivri\u00e8re au Togo a enregistr\u00e9 une l\u00e9g\u00e8re mais significative croissance, passant de 6,07 millions \u00e0 6,76 millions de tonnes. Cela repr\u00e9sente une augmentation annuelle moyenne de 5,6 %, selon les donn\u00e9es de la Banque centrale des \u00c9tats de l&rsquo;Afrique de l&rsquo;Ouest (Bceao). Cette hausse traduit une diversification et une expansion de plusieurs fili\u00e8res agricoles dans le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tubercules, une production en hausse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les cultures ayant contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 cette croissance, les tubercules (manioc et igname) occupent une place importante. Premier constat, selon les donn\u00e9es, la production de manioc a connu une augmentation, passant de 1,2 million de tonnes en 2021 \u00e0 1,31 million de tonnes en 2023. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;igname aussi, les choses se sont acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9es. Sa production a progress\u00e9 de 9 % sur la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, atteignant 1,05 million de tonnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales suivent la tendance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les chiffres enregistr\u00e9s au niveau des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales sont tout aussi encourageants, m\u00eame si les tubercules sont en t\u00eate. Le ma\u00efs, l&rsquo;une des cultures les plus pris\u00e9es, affiche une augmentation de pr\u00e8s de 14 %, atteignant 1,06 million de tonnes en 2023, contre 929 000 tonnes en 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuite, en ce qui concerne les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales traditionnelles comme le mil et le sorgho, leur production a atteint 344 700 tonnes en 2023, avec une croissance annuelle moyenne de 13 % au cours des 3 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outre les tubercules et les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales, les l\u00e9gumineuses comme les haricots et le ni\u00e9b\u00e9 ont \u00e9galement connu une progression, quoique plus modeste. Leur production est pass\u00e9e de 234 500 tonnes en 2021 \u00e0 226 500 tonnes en 2023, avec une croissance moyenne de 6,8 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le riz paddy, encore en phase de d\u00e9veloppement dans le pays, a enregistr\u00e9 une progression de 12,5 % au cours des 3 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, atteignant 186 300 tonnes en 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Soutenir co\u00fbte que co\u00fbte les producteurs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout le m\u00e9rite de cette progression revient aux actions de l&rsquo;\u00c9tat visant \u00e0 soutenir les producteurs et \u00e0 moderniser le secteur agricole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi celles-ci, l&rsquo;abaissement du prix des engrais subventionn\u00e9s de 32 000 \u00e0 18 000 francs a facilit\u00e9 l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s des agriculteurs \u00e0 des intrants de qualit\u00e9. En outre, le gouvernement a investi dans la construction de 663 nouveaux magasins de stockage, tandis que 164 autres sont en cours de construction pour renforcer la cha\u00eene de valeur agricole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On retrouve aussi dans le lot d&rsquo;initiatives la mise \u00e0 disposition de plus de 3 000 kits d&rsquo;irrigation \u00e0 pompe solaire et l&rsquo;augmentation du nombre de Zones d&rsquo;am\u00e9nagement agricole planifi\u00e9es (Zaap), qui est pass\u00e9 de 38 en 2020 \u00e0 231 en 2023 avec un total de 35 000 ha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La cr\u00e9ation et l&rsquo;expansion des Zaap permettent de structurer et de s\u00e9curiser la production agricole dans plusieurs r\u00e9gions. On note par ailleurs l&rsquo;op\u00e9rationnalisation de l&rsquo;Agence de transformation agricole, une structure dont le but est d&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l&rsquo;atteinte des objectifs de la Feuille de route gouvernementale 2025 dans le secteur agricole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>La R\u00e9daction<\/em><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le Togo connait une transformation notable dans son secteur agricole, notamment en mati\u00e8re de production vivri\u00e8re.
