Plusieurs initiatives sont donc d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es pour moderniser le secteur et encourager la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;unit\u00e9s industrielles capables de transformer localement les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res en produits finis. Une dynamique qui favorise l&#8217;emploi, renforce l&rsquo;autosuffisance alimentaire et ouvre de nouvelles perspectives d&rsquo;exportation.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Longtemps domin\u00e9e par l&rsquo;exportation de produits bruts comme le caf\u00e9, le cacao, le soja ou encore le coton, l&rsquo;agriculture togolaise amorce une transformation industrielle majeure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;objectif est clair : limiter la d\u00e9pendance aux importations et accro\u00eetre la valeur ajout\u00e9e de la production locale. Cela passe par le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;unit\u00e9s de transformation. Le gouvernement encourage l&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;usines modernes pour la transformation de produits agricoles tels que le manioc, le ma\u00efs, le riz et les fruits tropicaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces unit\u00e9s permettent de produire localement de la farine, des jus, des huiles et d&rsquo;autres produits finis destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la consommation nationale et \u00e0 l&rsquo;exportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cr\u00e9ation de zones agro-industrielles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;ex\u00e9cution du Plan national de d\u00e9veloppement (PND 2018-2022) puis de la Feuille de route gouvernementale a favoris\u00e9 l&rsquo;am\u00e9nagement du p\u00f4le agro-industriel, notamment la Plateforme industrielle d&rsquo;Ad\u00e9tikop\u00e9 (PIA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cens\u00e9e cr\u00e9er 35&nbsp;000 emplois \u00e0 terme, elle accueille plusieurs industries de transformation et favorise le d\u00e9veloppement des cha\u00eenes de valeur agricoles. \u00c0 travers ce parc, l&rsquo;\u00c9tat offre aux agro-entrepreneurs des moyens de s&rsquo;\u00e9panouir. Il accompagne les jeunes entrepreneurs et les coop\u00e9ratives agricoles dans la mise en place d&rsquo;unit\u00e9s de transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les produits locaux sont mieux valoris\u00e9s. Les fili\u00e8res connaissent une v\u00e9ritable transformation, avec des produits mieux valoris\u00e9s et plus comp\u00e9titifs. Par exemple, la production de tubercules et plantes \u00e0 racines est pass\u00e9e par une augmentation de 3,12 % en 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon le minist\u00e8re de l&rsquo;Agriculture, la production s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 2,1 millions de tonnes. Sp\u00e9cifiquement, 1,2 million de tonnes de manioc ont \u00e9t\u00e9 produites. Pour l&rsquo;igname, la production s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 960&nbsp;431 tonnes (2,08 %), 19&nbsp;088 tonnes pour le taro (1,56 %) et 9 694 tonnes pour la patate douce (4,21 %).&nbsp;Plusieurs milliers de tonnes de ces produits sont transform\u00e9es par les producteurs, ce qui accro\u00eet leurs revenus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S&rsquo;agissant de la production&nbsp;c\u00e9r\u00e9ali\u00e8re brute, elle est pass\u00e9e de 1,26 million de tonnes pour la campagne agricole 2019-2020 \u00e0 1,5 million de tonnes en 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Une meilleure transformation<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La PIA participe beaucoup \u00e0 la transformation des produits locaux. Depuis son lancement en 2021, il stimule la croissance. Parlant d&rsquo;industrie textile par exemple, le groupe Star Garments s&rsquo;est install\u00e9 au cours de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2024 dans la zone industrielle. Le groupe a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d&rsquo;un financement de 9 milliards de francs CFA. Star Garments portera une usine de fabrication de v\u00eatements \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle qui sera principalement tourn\u00e9e vers les exportations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plusieurs entit\u00e9s s&rsquo;activent sur place. Le centre de formation \u00e0 la confection de l&rsquo;habillement forme les jeunes pour faire \u00e9voluer la capacit\u00e9 de production du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le soja est beaucoup produit localement. Le Togo \u00e9tait, il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, le premier exportateur de soja bio vers l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne. Togo Soja a donc n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 un investissement de 16 milliards de francs CFA pour se sp\u00e9cialiser dans la fabrication de produits \u00e0 base de soja \u00e0 travers ses unit\u00e9s de transformation.
